Voyage

Description

For flute and string orchestra (piano reduction). A welcome change from the usual flute writing, one that sets new records for the greatest number of notes played in one minute. John Corigliano captures the dreamy atmosphere of a sensual, imagined world in a beautiful recasting of his choral setting of Baudelaire’s famous L’Invitation au Voyage in the Richard Wilburtranslation. Duration: 8 minutes.
