Satie – Gymnopédies and Gnossiennes

Description

Pedagogical in nature, these editions offer insightful interpretive suggestions, pertinent fingering, and historical and stylistic commentary. Throughout his life, Satie was so surrounded with the creative and modern atmosphere that permeated La Belle Epoque (The Beautiful Era), that he himself became a symbol of the age. These six short pieces from the composer’s early years capture the graceful conventionality that defines Satie. Intermediate Level.
