Samudra Manthan, a suite for one piano four hands, was commissioned by a piano duo ZOFO who is based in San Fransisco and active internationally, and was written in 2015. It was world premiered in the United States in 2017 and Japan premiered at at Kusatsu International Summer Music Academy & Festival in 2018 by ZOFO. The work consists of five pieces based on Hindu mythology. Each piece can be performed separately. The stories of the mythology relating to pieces are as follows.
